Alpha-ketoglutarate (akg) Overview

Alpha-ketoglutarate (akg) Alpha-ketoglutarate (AKG) is a molecule involved in cellular metabolism and energy production. It plays a crucial role in the Krebs cycle, a series of chemical reactions that generate energy in cells. Additionally, AKG is a precursor to glutamine, an amino acid important for immune function and muscle recovery. Due to its involvement in these processes, AKG is sometimes used as a dietary supplement to support athletic performance and recovery. Some research suggests that AKG supplementation may also have potential benefits for overall health, but more studies are needed to fully understand its effects.
