Glycine Overview

Glycine Glycine is an amino acid found naturally in the body and is also available as a dietary supplement. It is considered a non-essential amino acid, meaning that the body can produce it on its own. Glycine supplementation has been studied for its potential to help improve sleep quality as it is purported to help to promote relaxation and reduce muscle tension. Some studies have also suggested that it may help to improve symptoms of sleep disorders such as insomnia. Glycine has also been studied for its potential to help with the management of some types of chronic pain, such as osteoarthritis, and for improving cognitive function.

Finerenone Overview

  • Finerenone is used to treat adults with chronic kidney disease (damage to the kidneys which may worsen over time and may cause the kidneys to stop working) due to type 2 diabetes. This treatment may reduce the risk of worsening kidney disease, needing to be hospitalized for heart failure, and life-threatening heart and blood vessel disease or a heart attack. Finerenone is in a class of medications called mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) antagonists. It works by blocking the activity of certain steroids made in the body that can damage the heart and kidneys.
