Theoretically, using pu-erh tea with diuretic drugs might increase the risk of hypokalemia.
Pu-erh tea contains caffeine. Caffeine, especially in excessive amounts, can reduce potassium levels due to stimulation of the sodium-potassium pump. Diuretics can also cause lower potassium levels.
