Sweet Orange Overview
Sweet orange, also known as Citrus sinensis, is a type of citrus fruit native to Southeast Asia. It is a good source of vitamin C and other nutrients, including folate, potassium, and dietary fiber. It is also a good source of antioxidants, which are substances that help to protect the body's cells from damage caused by free radicals.
Sweet orange is used in traditional medicine as both aromatherapy and herbal remedies. The essential oil is generally extracted from the sweet orange peel and is used for its purported relaxant properties. As a dietary supplement, it is most commonly used to treat digestive problems and to help reduce the severity of colds and other respiratory infections.
Verteporfin Overview

Verteporfin injection is used in combination with photodynamic therapy (PDT; treatment with a laser light) to treat abnormal growth of leaky blood vessels in the eye caused by wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD; an ongoing disease of the eye that causes loss of the ability to see straight ahead and may make it more difficult to read, drive, or perform other daily activities), pathologic myopia (a serious form of nearsightedness that worsens with time), or histoplasmosis (a fungal infection) of the eye. Verteporfin is in a class of medications called photosensitizing agents. When verteporfin is activated by light, it closes up the leaking blood vessels.
