Advertising Policy

How HelloPharmacist is funded, how we keep ads separate from our pharmacist-reviewed content, and the choices you have.

Last reviewed June 2026

HelloPharmacist is free to use. We keep it that way through advertising. This page explains how advertising works on our site, how we keep it separate from our health information, and how you can control the ads you see.

Our content comes first

Advertising never influences our drug, supplement, and interaction information. Our pharmacist-reviewed content is created and reviewed independently of any advertiser, and advertisers have no say in what our content says or which interactions we report. You can read how our content is made in our Editorial & Medical Review Policy.

Who serves the ads

Ads on HelloPharmacist are served through our advertising partner, AdThrive / Raptive (and CafeMedia), and their partners. These companies place and manage the ads you see and may use cookies and similar technologies to measure and personalize advertising. We do not control which specific ads they show on any given page.

How ads appear

  • Ads are placed in defined ad slots — for example, within or alongside article content and in the sidebar — and are visually distinct from our editorial content.
  • Ad units are labeled (such as “Advertisement”) where appropriate so it’s clear what is paid placement.
  • We don’t allow ads to masquerade as our pharmacist-reviewed answers or interaction findings.

Sponsored & affiliate content

If we ever publish sponsored content, or include affiliate links where we may earn a commission, we will clearly disclose it on that page. Any such arrangement does not change our clinical information or how we report interactions — those remain independent and pharmacist-reviewed.

Transparency: the HelloPharmacist name. HelloPharmacist is also a brand name used on a separate line of dietary supplements. The medical content on HelloPharmacist.com is independent of that — we do not promote, recommend, or sell supplements on this site. We hold supplement data only to inform consumers and power our drug–supplement interaction checks, and our interaction findings are reported the same way regardless of brand.

Reporting a problematic ad

Because ads are served programmatically, occasionally one may be inappropriate, misleading, or broken. If you see an ad that concerns you, please let us know — tell us the page it appeared on and, if you can, include a description or screenshot. We review every report and work with our advertising partner to block ads that don’t meet our standards.
