Moderate evidence
Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Moderate

Some clinical evidence supports this product's ingredients for its stated purpose, but it isn't conclusive.

Why this rating?
  • The label markets this product for: muscle mass and size gain support.
  • We looked for evidence on: Athletic performance, muscle strength, resistance training recovery, high-intensity exercise performance.
  • The strongest evidence on file: Creatine is rated "Possibly Effective" for Athletic performance (Natural Medicines).
  • Also on file: Creatine is rated "Possibly Effective" for Muscle strength.
  • Also on file: Iron is rated "Possibly Ineffective" for Athletic performance.

Evidence for effectiveness varies by ingredient and intended use. Thiamine is effective for thiamine deficiency and Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome (a serious neurological condition from vitamin deficiency).

Niacin is likely effective for pellagra (a deficiency disease) and possibly effective for certain metabolic and HIV-related cholesterol issues. Vitamin C is effective for vitamin C deficiency and possibly effective for anemia and certain infections.

Calcium is effective for bone health (osteoporosis) and other conditions, while iron is effective for iron-deficiency anemia. Vitamin B12 is effective for B12 deficiency and certain types of poisoning.

Creatine monohydrate is possibly effective for muscle strength and athletic performance. Iodine is likely effective for iodine deficiency and radiation exposure.

Most of the B vitamins included—riboflavin, pantothenic acid, and folate—round out the micronutrient profile, though specific effectiveness ratings for their individual roles are not established in our data.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 17 of the 17 matched ingredients.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 17 of 17.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 17 of 17.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

This product's individual ingredients are generally well tolerated at normal doses. Thiamine, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, and vitamin B12 are considered very safe with minimal side effects.

Niacin, however, carries caution at high supplemental doses; common effects include flushing and gastrointestinal upset, and rare serious effects include liver toxicity and blood clotting problems. Vitamin C is safe at normal intake but can cause kidney stones and gastrointestinal distress at very high doses.

Vitamin A accumulates in the body and is unsafe in high doses, especially in pregnancy (risk of birth defects). Calcium, iron, potassium, and magnesium are all generally safe at recommended amounts but can cause problems at excessive levels—high potassium or magnesium can affect heart rhythm, and high iron can cause gastrointestinal damage.

Creatine is generally well tolerated in healthy adults but should be avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient safety data. Consult your doctor or pharmacist about whether this product is appropriate for your individual health status, especially if you have kidney disease, pregnancy concerns, or are breastfeeding.

Why this rating?
  • 15 of the 17 matched ingredients can interact with medications — Iodine, Black Psyllium, Calcium, Potassium, Iron, among others.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Major.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs; immunosuppressants / transplant drugs; cancer treatments; diabetes medications; heart-rhythm medications; lithium; Parkinson's medications.
  • For scale: 2,222 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

If you take any of the following medication types, double-check with your pharmacist or doctor before using this product. Major-severity concerns: HIV integrase inhibitors (dolutegravir, elvitegravir) and levodopa/carbidopa for Parkinson's disease—calcium and magnesium can significantly reduce their effectiveness.

Moderate-severity cautions include blood thinners (warfarin, antiplatelet drugs), blood pressure medications, heart drugs, thyroid medications (levothyroxine, lithium), diabetes drugs, cholesterol-lowering statins, tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics, and seizure medications. The most serious severity present in this product's interactions is Major.
