Theoretically, berberine might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Animal research suggests that berberine can have hypotensive effects. Also, a clinical study suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with amlodipine alone.

Berberine Overview
Berberine is a naturally-occurring compound that is found in several plants, including goldenseal, barberry, goldthread, phellodendron, and Oregon grape. It is known for its bitter taste and yellow color. It has been used for centuries in traditional medicine to treat a variety of conditions such as diabetes and high cholesterol. It is also thought to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.
Hydrochlorothiazide, Lisinopril Overview

The combination of lisinopril and hydrochlorothiazide is used to treat high blood pressure. Lisinopril is in a class of medications called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. It works by decreasing certain chemicals that tighten the blood vessels, so blood flows more smoothly. Hydrochlorothiazide is in a class of medications called diuretics ('water pills'). It works by causing the kidneys to get rid of unneeded water and salt from the body into the urine.
