Acetaminophen, Dichloralphenazone, Isometheptene is classified as belonging to the following category: Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates

There is some preliminary evidence that chrysin inhibits CYP1A2 isozymes. Theoretically, chrysin might decrease the metabolism of CYP1A2 substrates and increase serum concentrations. However, chrysin was not found to inhibit CYP1A2-dependent caffeine metabolism in animal research. Due to chrysin's low bioavailability and rapid metabolism to glucuronide and sulfate conjugates, this interaction is unlikely. Some substrates of CYP1A2 include clozapine (Clozaril), cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril), fluvoxamine (Luvox), haloperidol (Haldol), imipramine (Tofranil), mexiletine (Mexitil), olanzapine (Zyprexa), pentazocine (Talwin), propranolol (Inderal), tacrine (Cognex), theophylline, zileuton (Zyflo), zolmitriptan (Zomig), and others.

There is some preliminary evidence that chrysin might induce UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1A1 (UGT1A1) . Theoretically, chrysin might increase the clearance of drugs that are UGT1A1 substrates, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol), estrogens (Estrace, Premarin, others) and oral contraceptives, entacapone (Comtan), irinotecan (Camptosar), and others.
