Gardenia jasminoides, also known as cape jasmine or Chinese gardenia, is a species of flowering plant in the family Rubiaceae. It is native to eastern and southern Asia, and is widely cultivated as an ornamental plant. In traditional Chinese medicine, Gardenia jasminoides is used to treat liver problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, and inflammatory conditions. It is also used as a natural remedy to reduce fever and improve digestion.
