Lentinan Overview
Lentinan is a type of polysaccharide that is extracted from the edible mushroom Lentinula edodes, also known as shiitake. The main part of lentinan is Beta-1,3-glucan and supplements are often marketed simply under that name. Lentinan has been used for centuries in traditional medicine for its purported immune-boosting and anti-inflammatory properties. Some studies have suggested that lentinan may have anti-tumor effects and may help to boost the immune system, but more research is needed to confirm these effects and to determine the appropriate dosage and duration of use.

Primaquine is used alone or with another medication to treat malaria (a serious infection that is spread by mosquitoes in certain parts of the world and can cause death) and to prevent the disease from coming back in people that are infected with malaria. Primaquine is in a class of medications called antimalarials. It works by killing the organisms that cause malaria.
