Theoretically, alcohol might increase the levels and adverse effects of caffeine.
Pu-erh tea contains caffeine. Alcohol reduces caffeine metabolism. Concomitant use of alcohol and caffeine can increase caffeine serum concentrations and the risk of caffeine adverse effects.
