Theoretically, concomitant use of alcohol and yerba mate might increase levels and adverse effects of the caffeine in yerba mate.
Yerba mate contains caffeine. Alcohol reduces caffeine metabolism. Concomitant use of alcohol can increase caffeine serum concentrations and the risk of caffeine adverse effects.
