Rivaroxaban falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Fo-ti interacts with.
In vitro research suggests that fo-ti might inhibit CYP3A4. One in vitro study suggests that the degree of CYP3A4 inhibition may depend on the type of fo-ti extract (i.e., the raw plant leads to greater inhibition than extensively processed extracts). However, this evidence conflicts with animal research suggesting that fo-ti does not inhibit CYP3A4. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the short version: your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break down rivaroxaban (Xarelto). Lab studies hint that Fo-ti, especially the raw root, might slow that enzyme down. If that happened, more rivaroxaban could linger in your bloodstream than expected. Since this is a blood thinner, the concern would be a stronger effect than intended, meaning easier bruising, nosebleeds, or harder-to-stop bleeding.
Now, the honest part: this is mostly based on test-tube work, and animal studies didn't agree. It hasn't been reported in real people, so I don't want to scare you. Still, because rivaroxaban and bleeding risk are serious, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Some of these drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), dipyridamole (Persantine), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

Here's the concern with pairing Fo-ti and Xarelto (rivaroxaban). Rivaroxaban is already a blood thinner, working by blocking a clotting protein called Factor Xa. Fo-ti, on the other hand, has been linked in rare reports to liver injury. Since your liver makes many of your natural clotting factors, anything that harms it can tip you further toward bleeding when you're also on a thinner.
If that happened, you might notice easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or in serious cases, dark stools or unusual fatigue. To be honest, this is based mostly on a single case report with a different drug (warfarin), so the evidence is thin and theoretical. Still, I'd loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining them so they can keep an eye on you.

What Is Rivaroxaban Used For?
Brand name: Xarelto
Rivaroxaban tablets are used to reduce the risk of stroke in adults with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm), treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT, a blood clot in a vein) and pulmonary embolism (PE, a blood clot in the lungs), and lower the chances of these clots coming back. They also help prevent clots after hip or knee replacement surgery, protect hospitalized patients at risk for clots, and — in combination with aspirin — reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in adults with coronary artery disease (CAD) or peripheral artery disease (PAD).
Rivaroxaban tablets are also approved for treating VTE (venous thromboembolism, blood clots in veins) and preventing recurrence in pediatric patients from birth to under 18 years, and for preventing clots in children aged 2 and older with congenital heart disease after the Fontan procedure. Rivaroxaban for oral suspension (available as Rivaroxaban Granule and Xarelto oral suspension) is specifically indicated for these two pediatric uses.
