ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Aspirin, Omeprazole
Aspirin, Omeprazole falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Indian Snakeroot interacts with.
Indian snakeroot contains small amounts of the drug yohimbine. In vitro research shows that yohimbine inhibits platelet aggregation.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with Yosprala (aspirin plus omeprazole) and Indian snakeroot. The aspirin half is already an antiplatelet, meaning it makes your platelets less sticky so clots are less likely to form. Indian snakeroot contains tiny amounts of compounds (like yohimbine) that, in lab dish studies, also seemed to slow platelet clumping. Stacked together, the theoretical concern is a bit more bleeding risk, think easier bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding that takes longer to stop.
I'd put this in the possible but unproven bucket, since the evidence is only test-tube and animal data, not real patients. Still, snakeroot is a potent plant that also drops blood pressure on its own. Please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining them rather than deciding alone.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aspirin, Omeprazole page
“Yosprala pairs aspirin, a blood thinner, with omeprazole, an acid reducer whose job is to shield the stomach from that aspirin, so this list carries real weight and warrants genuine care. Of the 318 supplements and herbs on file, nine are rated major, and understanding those first matters more than reading the rest.”

About Indian Snakeroot
What is Indian Snakeroot?
- High blood pressure
- Anxiety and stress
- Insomnia
- Agitation
- Fever (traditional use)
Indian snakeroot is a traditional Ayurvedic plant that contains reserpine, a compound with real blood-pressure-lowering and sedative effects. Because its potent alkaloids can cause serious side effects like depression and very low blood pressure, it should never be used without medical supervision. It is not a safe or simple home remedy, and many countries restrict its use.
