Theoretically, peony might interfere with contraceptive drugs due to competition for estrogen receptors.

Peony Overview
Peonies are flowering plants that belong to the genus Paeonia, which is part of the family Paeoniaceae. They are native to Asia, Europe, and western North America. Peonies are known for their large flowers, which come in a range of colors including white, pink, red, and yellow.
Peonies, specifically the roots of the plant, have been historically used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for a variety of purposes, including as an antipyretic and an anti-inflammatory agent. It has also been used as a natural remedy for anxiety and stress. The flower and seeds of the plant have also been used medicinally.

The combination of lactic acid, citric acid, and potassium bitartrate is used to prevent pregnancy when used just before vaginal sex in women who can become pregnant. It does not prevent pregnancy when used after vaginal sex. The combination of lactic acid, citric acid, and potassium bitartrate is in a class of medications called non-hormonal contraceptives. It works by lowering the pH of the vagina and reducing sperm motility. Lactic acid, citric acid, and potassium bitartrate may prevent pregnancy, but this medication will not prevent the spread of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV, the virus that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome [AIDS]) and other sexually transmitted diseases.
