Clinical
This is an over-the-counter topical cream marketed under FDA's OTC monograph rules for oral use. It contains benzocaine, a local anesthetic typically used to numb pain, along with menthol, which is commonly included for a cooling sensation. Zinc chloride and benzalkonium chloride function as additional active ingredients often found in oral care products. The cream is intended to be applied directly to the gums or tooth area to address discomfort associated with toothaches and gum soreness.
