Clinical
This is an over-the-counter foam hand sanitizer applied topically to the skin. It contains benzalkonium chloride, an antimicrobial agent commonly used in hand sanitizers and topical antiseptics to reduce bacteria and other microorganisms on the hands. The product is marketed under FDA's established rules for over-the-counter antimicrobial hand-cleaning products rather than as an individually reviewed drug application. It is alcohol-free, making it an alternative to ethanol-based hand sanitizers.
