🩺 Clinical
This is an over-the-counter liquid product containing benzocaine, a local anesthetic, designed for topical application to the mouth and oral tissues. Benzocaine is commonly used to numb pain and discomfort associated with minor mouth sores, canker sores, and similar oral irritations. The product is marketed under the FDA's monograph system for oral wound-care products, meaning it follows established regulatory standards for this category rather than individual approval. Professional strength refers to the concentration of the active ingredient in the formulation.
