Clinical
This is an over-the-counter eyewash station additive concentrate for ophthalmic use, marketed under FDA's OTC monograph rules. It contains chlorhexidine gluconate, an antimicrobial agent typically used to reduce bacteria and other microorganisms, and propylene glycol, a humectant that is commonly used to help lubricate and preserve liquid eye products. The concentrate is diluted to prepare eyewash solution for emergency eye-rinsing stations.
