Clinical
This is a topical ointment containing two antibiotics, bacitracin zinc and polymyxin B sulfate. It is an over-the-counter monograph drug, meaning it is marketed under established FDA guidelines for its category rather than as an individually approved product. Both antibiotics are commonly used in first-aid ointments and are typically applied to minor cuts, scrapes, and burns to help reduce the risk of bacterial infection on the skin surface.
