🩺 Clinical
This is a topical lotion containing zinc oxide, an inorganic mineral commonly used in over-the-counter sunscreen and skin protection products. Zinc oxide functions as a broad-spectrum ultraviolet (UV) filter that reflects and scatters both UVA and UVB rays away from the skin. The product is marketed under the FDA's OTC monograph rules for sunscreen ingredients rather than as an individually approved application. It is typically applied to exposed skin to help reduce sun exposure.
