Clinical
Mucinex Insta Soothe Sore Throat Winter Fresh is an over-the-counter oral spray containing benzocaine and menthol. Benzocaine is a local anesthetic typically used to numb minor pain and irritation in the throat and mouth. Menthol is a cooling agent commonly included in sore throat products for its soothing sensation. This product is marketed as an OTC monograph drug, meaning it follows FDA's established category rules for oral throat sprays rather than being individually reviewed.
