Avocado-soy-unsaponifiables (ASU) are a natural extract made from avocado and soybean oils. They are known for their anti-inflammatory properties and are commonly used to manage symptoms of osteoarthritis. ASU is believed to help reduce pain and improve joint function by inhibiting the breakdown of cartilage and promoting its repair. Additionally, ASU may have a protective effect on joint structures and help reduce the need for nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
