American White Water Lily - Fosrenol (Lanthanum Carbonate) Interaction

Nymphaea odorata, also known as the American white water lily, is a North American aquatic plant with fragrant white flowers that float on the water's surface, accompanied by large, round leaves. It is found in ponds, lakes, and slow-moving streams, providing habitat for aquatic life. In traditional medicine, the rhizome and root of the American white water lily have been used topically for vaginal conditions, throat and mouth diseases, and as a poultice for burns and furuncles. The plant contains tannins, contributing to its astringent and antiseptic properties. Active components include nymphaeoside A, icariside, flavonols like afzelin and myricitrin, as well as alkaloids, gallic acid, mucilage, starch, gum, resin, sugar, ammonia, and tartaric acid. Afzelin, in particular, has been investigated for its potential role as an anti-prostate cancer agent.
