Theoretically, magnolia might have additive effects and increase the risk of bleeding when used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro research shows that the chemicals magnolol and honokiol, isolated from magnolia bark, inhibit platelet aggregation that is experimentally induced by collagen and arachidonic acid. However, they do not inhibit platelet aggregation that is induced by adenosine diphosphate, platelet-activating factor, or thrombin. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Magnolia Overview
Magnolia is a plant genus that belongs to the Magnoliaceae family and is native to North and South America, as well as Asia. Magnolia species are known for their large, fragrant flowers, which are typically white, pink, or purple in color and have a unique, cup-shaped appearance.
Magnolia plant, specifically the flower bark and flower buds, have a long history of use in traditional medicine, and some species are claimed to have a number of potential health benefits, including reducing inflammation, relieving stress and anxiety, and improving sleep.
Heparin Overview

Heparin is used to prevent blood clots from forming in people who have certain medical conditions or who are undergoing certain medical procedures that increase the chance that clots will form. Heparin is also used to stop the growth of clots that have already formed in the blood vessels, but it cannot be used to decrease the size of clots that have already formed. Heparin is also used in small amounts to prevent blood clots from forming in catheters (small plastic tubes through which medication can be administered or blood drawn) that are left in veins over a period of time. Heparin is in a class of medications called anticoagulants ('blood thinners'). It works by decreasing the clotting ability of the blood.
