Does Goli ACV Have Any Drug Interactions To Be Concerned About?
Apple cider vinegar (ACV), including the Goli ACV gummies, may interact with certain medications and have potential side effects. However, the clinical significance of these interactions seems relatively low based on the clinical data available, but are nevertheless important to be aware of.
The following are types of drugs that may interact with Goli ACV gummies:
- Antidiabetes drugs: Apple cider vinegar may increase the risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels) when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
- Diuretic drugs: ACV may increase the risk of hypokalemia (low potassium levels) when taken with diuretic drugs, which are used to increase urine output and treat fluid retention.
Our 'Drug-Herbal Interaction Checker' provides specific details on drugs that may potentially interact.
The other ingredients in Goli ACV, such as beetroot and pomegranate, are not known to cause clinically significant interactions.
Does Goli ACV Have Any Side Effects?
Apple cider vinegar is generally considered safe when consumed in normal food amounts and at recommended dosages in dietary supplements.
Some individuals have reported mild side effects, such as digestive problems like nausea, heartburn, and indigestion. Long-term use of apple cider vinegar may also lead to damage to the tooth enamel and a reduction in the levels of beneficial gut bacteria but studies show conflicting evidence regarding this.
Additionally, there have been rare case studies that have reported low potassium levels (hypokalemia) with long-term use of apple cider vinegar. We detail this potential problem in our interaction detail pages with drugs that can affect potassium levels.
