The evidence for 7-keto DHEA is still being worked out. For obesity, depression, PTSD, Raynaud syndrome, and aging, we don't yet have enough reliable data to say whether it works.

How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Short-term use appears generally well tolerated in small studies, but long-term safety hasn't been established, so we don't know what happens if you take it for months or years. A few people in trials reported nausea or dizziness.
There's also one case report of lower blood cell counts (hemoglobin and hematocrit) in someone taking 50 mg daily for a week, though the clinical meaning of that isn't entirely clear. 7-keto DHEA should be avoided during pregnancy because there isn't enough safety data, and hormone-related supplements are best steered clear of when you're carrying.
It should also be avoided while breastfeeding due to lack of reliable safety information.
