Calcium
Calcium is a vital nutrient found in various foods such as dairy products, certain vegetables, and many fortified items. Over 99% of the body's calcium is stored in the bones and teeth, predominantly as hydroxyapatite. The remaining calcium circulates in the blood, extracellular fluid, muscles, and other tissues, where it is essential for processes like nerve signaling, muscle contraction, vascular activities, glandular secretion, and maintaining cell membrane and capillary permeability. It also plays critical roles in enzyme reactions, respiration, kidney function, and blood clotting, and is involved in neurotransmitter and hormone release, amino acid uptake, vitamin B12 absorption, and gastrin secretion. Calcium balance changes with age: it is positive during periods of growth, stable in adulthood, and tends to become negative in older age. Calcium loss occurs through feces, urine, sweat, and shedding skin cells. In women, reduced estrogen levels decrease calcium absorption and retention, increase bone turnover, and lead to lower bone mass. Calcium supplements come in various forms, including citrate and carbonate, which differ mainly in their calcium content and absorption rates. Calcium citrate is easily absorbed and can be taken without food, making it suitable for older adults or those with low stomach acid. In contrast, calcium carbonate, which contains a higher percentage of calcium, is best absorbed when taken with meals.

Glutamine
Description:L-glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid in the body, produced primarily in skeletal muscle and then released into circulation. It serves vital roles in various tissues, including the immune system, gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, and liver, where it supports essential functions such as maintaining intestinal integrity, immune response, and amino acid balance. Although traditionally classified as a non-essential amino acid, during periods of severe stress, glutamine becomes conditionally essential due to the body's increased demand. It acts as a critical nitrogen and carbon transporter between organs, and while the intestinal mucosa can synthesize glutamine, this production is insufficient during times of significant physiological stress. Dietary supplements generally contain L-glutamine as it is the biologically active form of the amino acid.

Bromelain
Description:Bromelain is a group of proteolytic enzymes derived from pineapples. It has been traditionally used for its anti-inflammatory and protein-digesting properties. Some research suggests it may have potential benefits for conditions such as allergic rhinitis, burns, cancer, diabetic foot ulcers, and postoperative pain, among others. However, the evidence for its effectiveness in these areas is lacking, and more research is needed. It is important to note that bromelain should not be confused with other protein-digesting enzymes. Pregnant and lactating individuals should avoid using bromelain due to insufficient information about its safety in these populations.

- 30% Increase in Muscle Strength~
The unique protein blend includes an anabolic module of 20 grams of whey protein and 6.2 grams of leucine that was clinically tested in an 8-week study of athletes performing an intense resistance exercise training regimen. The athletes using this proprietary module of whey protein and leucine demonstrated an increased improvement in muscle strength and muscle size as compared to those performing the same exercise training regimen who did not consume the proprietary module. In a clinical study of participants using unilateral lower limb resistance training protocol, even the untrained limb demonstrated increases in muscle size.**

- The Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60(TM) Evolution
How is protein AMPlified? GNC’s scientists worked with leading exercise and sports nutrition experts and went beyond the extreme to develop this distinct product…
Highly Effective Whey-Leucine Base –
The impressive 60 grams of protein is made entirely from two of the highest quality, fast absorbing forms of whey protein – isolates and hydrolysates. With 7.7 grams of leucine, this creates an ideal environment for muscle protein synthesis. This potent blend upregulates multiple Genetic Signaling Pathways (GSP) to enhance anabolism and muscle performance.* In fact, the whey and leucine blend in Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60(TM) has been shown to increase muscle strength and stamina with half the sets.^~*
Micronized Amino Acids – Using MicroSorb(TM) Amino Technology, the amino acids added to this formula are pulverized, or “micronized” form large molecules into smaller particles to facilitate faster absorption. Why is that important? Better absorption of amino acids means better muscle fuel. These key amino acids support muscle building and recovery.*
Amino Acceleration System – This digestive enzyme blend is designed to accelerate the availability and absorption of amino acids to be efficiently used by the muscles.
More Key Aminos – In addition to a whopping 7.7 grams of leucine – this formula is loaded with an array of aminos necessary for your muscles. This complex blend of amino acids delivers 3.6 grams of arginine, which is involved in creatine synthesis, and over 10 grams of glutamine providing anabolic effects. The amino acid L-carnitine is included to help transform fatty acids into energy for muscles and the body’s energy production system.*
