- HOW BCAA KETO (3:1) WORKS
The Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs), leucine, isoleucine and valine, are important, essential amino acids. The combination of these three amino acids make up approximately 1/3 of skeletal muscle and play an important role in protein synthesis. BCAA's are needed for the maintenance of muscle tissue, appear to preserve muscle glycogen stores and help reduce muscle protein breakdown during exercise.
BCAA's cannot be made by the body. Therefore, they must be obtained through diet and supplementation. BCAA's are vital to athletes as they bypass the liver and are quickly metabolized in the muscles to help speed recovery. BCAA's are also imporant fuel sources for skeletal muscle during periods of metabolic stress (exercise).
Alpha Ketoglutarate (AKG) combines with ammonia generated by intense muscle activity to create glutamine, an amino acid important for energy fuel and muscle recovery. AKG helps increase workout performance helping you achieve the results you want from your training.
OL has created BCAA-AKG, an innovative formula that combines these two popular ingredients.
