Beta-alanine is generally well tolerated in healthy adults, but it commonly causes a harmless tingling sensation (paresthesia) — usually starting on the scalp within 20 minutes and spreading to the rest of your body for about an hour. This tingling is dose-dependent: it's very mild at low doses and becomes stronger at higher ones.

There isn't enough safety data to use beta-alanine during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, so it's best to avoid it if you're pregnant or nursing. Glycerol is also well tolerated in normal amounts, but large oral doses can trigger bloating, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and headache.

Talk with your doctor before using medicinal amounts, especially if you're concerned about dehydration.

Suggested Use: Take one (1) serving (1 scoop) 20-30 minutes prior to training with approximately 6 ounces of water or juice, on an empty stomach, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
