Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This product contains one active ingredient: biotin, a B vitamin that plays a role in hair, skin, and nail health. The liquid is made with vegetable glycerin and purified water as inactive ingredients.

Strong evidence
Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed

This product doesn't appear to be marketed for a specific use, so we graded Biotin's overall clinical evidence instead.

Strong

Strong clinical evidence supports Biotin for:

Why this rating?
  • We looked at the product name, claims, and label statements and couldn't find a stated purpose to grade.
  • Since the label doesn't commit to one use, we graded the ingredient's overall clinical evidence instead.
  • On file: Biotin deficiency — rated "Likely Effective" (Natural Medicines).

Biotin is likely effective for biotin deficiency. For other uses — multiple sclerosis, seborrheic dermatitis (a flaky scalp condition), and hair loss from alopecia areata — the evidence we hold either shows it's possibly ineffective or that there isn't reliable evidence to say either way.

If you're taking it for one of those other reasons, talk it over with your doctor to see if it makes sense for your situation.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Biotin is generally well tolerated, even at fairly high doses, because your body excretes excess amounts in the urine. The only documented adverse effect is mild diarrhea, which has been rarely reported at very high doses — one case noted mild diarrhea in patients taking 300 mg daily.

There's one isolated case report of a different serious reaction (inflammation of the fluid around the heart and lungs), but it involved other supplements and medications together and hasn't occurred since. The safety data rates biotin as likely safe in pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

However, the safety notes advise checking with your doctor before taking high-dose biotin supplements, even though food and standard prenatal vitamin amounts are appropriate.

No known interactions
Known Interaction Concern · database check
No known interactions

No medication interactions are currently documented for the matched ingredients — that isn't a guarantee none exist.

Why this rating?
  • None of the 1 matched ingredient has a documented medication interaction on file.

No interactions are documented in our data for biotin. That said, confirm with your own doctor or pharmacist before adding any new supplement to your routine.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with strong clinical evidence behind its ingredients' uses. No medication interactions are currently documented, and safety information is well characterized.

This product is a straightforward way to get biotin if you have a documented deficiency. If you're taking it for hair, skin, or nails or for a medical condition, have that conversation with your doctor first — the evidence for those uses is weak or absent.

Because no interactions are documented, medication interactions aren't your main concern, but your doctor or pharmacist is still the right person to clear any new supplement before you start.

Biotin 5000 mcg by Rejuvica Health: Common Questions

Does Biotin 5000 mcg by Rejuvica Health interact with any medications?
We do not currently list a known interaction for the mapped ingredients in Biotin 5000 mcg. This does not guarantee none exist, so confirm with your pharmacist.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Biotin 5000 mcg contains a single active ingredient, and that one ingredient can interact with many different medications on its own. We check it against each medication and show the mechanism responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Is biotin safe to take while I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
The data rates biotin as likely safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Biotin from food and prenatal vitamins is standard. However, the safety notes recommend checking with your doctor before taking high-dose supplements like this one, so run it by your healthcare provider for personalized advice.
Will this help my hair grow or make my nails stronger?
The evidence for biotin in hair loss (alopecia areata) is insufficient — we don't have reliable data either way. For other hair and nail concerns, the data doesn't establish effectiveness. Talk with your doctor about whether this product makes sense for what you're trying to address.
Can biotin cause side effects?
Biotin is generally well tolerated. Mild diarrhea has been rarely reported at very high doses (300 mg daily), but at the dose in this product it's not a documented concern. One unusual case report exists, but it involved other supplements too and hasn't recurred since.
Who actually needs a biotin supplement?
Biotin is likely effective for people with a documented biotin deficiency. If you're not sure whether you have one, your doctor can help figure that out. If you're taking it for other reasons, the evidence is weak.
Is this product safe at the 5000 mcg dose?
Biotin is considered safe even at fairly high doses because excess is removed in the urine. That said, the safety notes recommend discussing high-dose biotin supplements with your doctor before starting, so check in with yours.
