Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: Cilantro Leaf Glycerite Liquid Extract, derived from coriander. The extract is prepared in glycerin, which serves as the base.
There's a single active ingredient here—the coriander extract itself—and glycerin as an inactive ingredient to deliver it.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence we hold doesn't establish that cilantro leaf works reliably for any of the conditions listed on the label—anorexia, anxiety, constipation, diabetes, diarrhea, or dyspepsia. All of them are rated as having insufficient reliable evidence to rate.
That doesn't mean it won't help you, only that the data we have isn't solid enough to make a claim either way.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Coriander is generally well tolerated at food amounts—the doses you'd get in cooking. At medicinal or concentrated doses, safety data is limited, so use caution and avoid essential oil without medical advice.
Topically, contact dermatitis can occur in sensitive individuals, along with itching and burning. Orally, coriander is generally well tolerated, though a rare but serious risk is anaphylaxis in people sensitized to the spice—particularly those with occupational exposure to coriander dust or powder.
Cases of rhinitis and asthma symptoms have also been reported with spice dust exposure. Pregnancy and lactation data aren't on file for this ingredient—talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether it's right for you during these times.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on diabetes medications (risk of low blood sugar), blood pressure drugs (risk of pressure dropping too far), sedating medications like sleep aids or anxiety drugs (risk of extra drowsiness), or any photosensitizing medications that increase sun sensitivity. No other interactions are documented for the ingredient we could check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Cilantro Leaf Glycerite is a single-ingredient extract that's generally well tolerated at food doses, though medicinal doses lack solid safety data. The main concern is interaction with diabetes, blood pressure, sedating, and sun-sensitivity medications.
If you take any of those drug types—or any prescription medication—run it through the checker on this page and talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

Cilantro Leaf by TerraVita Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
TerraVita's Cilantro Leaf Glycerite has documented interactions with multiple medication types.
The most serious concern is with blood sugar–lowering drugs (antidiabetes medications): coriander extract can reduce blood glucose levels, so taking it alongside your diabetes medication raises the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). If you take diabetes drugs, you'll need to monitor your blood glucose closely and may need a dose adjustment.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
You should also be cautious with blood pressure medications (antihypertensives). Animal research suggests coriander can lower blood pressure, so combining it with your blood pressure drug could cause your pressure to drop too far.
Similarly, sedating medications (CNS depressants)—including sleep aids, anxiety drugs, and some pain relievers—might have stronger effects if you add this product, since coriander appears to have sedative properties. Finally, certain medications that increase sun sensitivity (photosensitizing drugs) could pose a higher risk of sunburn or skin reactions when paired with coriander.
Additionally, sun-exposure medications may increase photosensitivity risk with this product. Altogether, these interactions span 717 individual medications.
