General Statements
- DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone) is a pharmaceutical grade, purified supplement. This micronized form is designed to increase its bioavailability when compared to the standard form. DHEA is a naturally occurring androgen secreted by the adrenal glands, and is found in plasma and brain tissue.
Precautions
- Do NOT take DHEA if at risk for hormonally related cancers such as reproductive or prostate abnormalities, if under the age of 40, pregnant, lactating or trying to conceive.
