Ez-Gest contains 5 active digestive enzymes designed to help break down different parts of your food. Lipase breaks down fats; Lactase breaks down milk sugar (lactose); and Protease Enzymes break down proteins.
Amylase and Alpha-Galactosidase round out the blend to handle starches and complex carbohydrates. The capsule itself contains microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, and water as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Lactase is the one ingredient in this product with established effectiveness—the data shows it works for lactose intolerance. The other enzymes (Lipase, Protease Enzymes, and the two we couldn't verify) don't have reliable evidence in our data for the conditions they target, like general dyspepsia or inflammatory bowel disease.
