- Echinacea purpurea (Echinacea purpurea [L.] Moench) and Echinacea angustifolia (Echinacea angustifolia DC.) contain glycosides (especially echinacoside), polysaccharides (echinacin B, inulin, arabinogalactans, xyloglucans), isobutylamides (echinacein), and many other valuable compounds. This extract is standardized at 4% phenolic compounds and 15% polysaccharides.
