Arabinogalactan
Arabinogalactans are long, densely branched, high-molecular weight polysaccharides found in many plants, with the highest concentrations in larch trees. Larch arabinogalactan, specifically obtained from the western larch (Larix occidentalis) and eastern larch (Larix laricina), is approximately 98% arabinogalactan. This polysaccharide has a range of potential health benefits, including serving as a soluble, non-viscous fiber that ferments in the gut, potentially increasing beneficial gut bacteria like Lactobacillus. Additionally, larch arabinogalactan has been investigated for its possible role in drug delivery systems due to its water solubility and numerous hydroxyl groups, which may enhance the bioavailability of drugs like ibuprofen. Moreover, preliminary research suggests immunostimulatory effects, such as increased natural killer cell activity and enhanced immune response to certain vaccines.

Green tea has a mild, slightly grassy flavor and is typically lighter in color and less astringent than black tea. Green tea is a rich source of antioxidants, particularly a group of compounds called catechins. These antioxidants are thought to help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Green tea is also a good source of other nutrients, including vitamin C and several B vitamins. Green tea is often consumed for a number of purported health benefits including reducing the risk of heart disease, immune-stimulating effects, and weight loss. Oral green tea supplements, containing dried powder, are most often utilized for the caffeine content and used as an appetite suppressant for weight loss.

Bacillus coagulans
Description:Bacillus coagulans, also known as Weizmannia coagulans or Lactobacillus sporogenes, is a spore-forming, lactic acid-producing, Gram-positive bacterium used as a probiotic. Bacillus coagulans has shown benefits for constipation and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Its spores are stable in stomach acid and reach the small intestine, where they germinate and multiply, with around 85% reaching their destination. The bacterium is excreted via feces, with spores detectable up to 7 days post-administration. Mechanistically, Bacillus coagulans exhibits antibacterial effects through the production of coagulin, lactic acid, and lactosporin, reducing pathogenic bacteria colonization. It also demonstrates antifungal properties and anti-inflammatory effects, potentially reducing the growth of pathogenic bacteria and decreasing the production of lipopolysaccharides. Bacillus coagulans may stimulate immune response, as evidenced by increased CD4+ T cells in adults with HIV-1 infection and modulation of inflammatory cytokines in schoolchildren. These properties categorize Bacillus coagulans as an immunomodulator, immunostimulant, and probiotic, with potential therapeutic applications in promoting digestive health and immune function.
