Magnesium
Magnesium is a mineral that is essential for the proper functioning of the body. It plays a role in many important physiological processes, including the contraction and relaxation of muscles, the transmission of nerve impulses, and the regulation of blood pressure. Magnesium is found in a variety of foods, including leafy green vegetables, nuts, and grains, and it is also available as a dietary supplement. There are several different forms of magnesium that are available as supplements, all of which can be used to prevent deficiency. Additionally, magnesium is purported to have several different health benefits, such as improving sleep, reducing muscle cramps, reducing anxiety, and preventing or treating migraines. Although magnesium is essential for health, magnesium-containing foods and supplements can interact with some prescription medications if used at the same time.

Lycopene
Lycopene is a natural red pigment and powerful antioxidant found in various fruits and vegetables, notably in tomatoes, watermelon, guava, and grapefruit. It belongs to the carotenoid family and is responsible for the vibrant red color in these foods. Studies suggest that lycopene may have health benefits, including reducing the risk of chronic diseases, such as heart disease and certain types of cancer, due to its antioxidant properties. It is best absorbed by the body when consumed with fats or oils.

General Statements |
- Andrew Lessman’s LYCOPENE-10 provides high levels of the powerful, anti-oxidant carotenoid Lycopene in its natural form. Lycopene is a colorful pigmented anti-oxidant, which is principally found in red and orange fruits and vegetables, such as tomatoes, watermelon, papaya and grapefruit. Lycopene is an extremely powerful, fat-soluble anti-oxidant that protects a wide variety of lipid-based tissues and organs from free radical damage. Lycopene is of particular importance to women because it is highly concentrated in breast tissue, thereby protecting these delicate tissues from oxidative damage. Mother Nature does not play favorites, since Lycopene is equally important to men because it is the most abundant protective anti-oxidant present in the prostate gland. Preliminary research suggests that Lycopene’s anti-oxidant benefits help protect the prostate from oxidative free radicals and support normal prostate function. As the major carotenoid found in tomatoes, Lycopene is one of the primary nutrients associated with the healthy Mediterranean diet and its role in helping to protect the cardiovascular system. Some scientific evidence suggests that consumption of Lycopene may reduce the risk of arterial changes that are associated with heart disease – the evidence is limited and not conclusive. Lycopene cannot be produced by the body, so its benefits are only delivered by food or supplements. Sadly, most Americans acquire relatively little Lycopene because of our low consumption of fruits and vegetables. Lycopene-10 provides many times more Lycopene than is found in the leading multivitamins, to deliver powerful anti-oxidant protection and support the health of a broad range of body tissues.
