Calcium
Calcium is a vital nutrient found in various foods such as dairy products, certain vegetables, and many fortified items. Over 99% of the body's calcium is stored in the bones and teeth, predominantly as hydroxyapatite. The remaining calcium circulates in the blood, extracellular fluid, muscles, and other tissues, where it is essential for processes like nerve signaling, muscle contraction, vascular activities, glandular secretion, and maintaining cell membrane and capillary permeability. It also plays critical roles in enzyme reactions, respiration, kidney function, and blood clotting, and is involved in neurotransmitter and hormone release, amino acid uptake, vitamin B12 absorption, and gastrin secretion. Calcium balance changes with age: it is positive during periods of growth, stable in adulthood, and tends to become negative in older age. Calcium loss occurs through feces, urine, sweat, and shedding skin cells. In women, reduced estrogen levels decrease calcium absorption and retention, increase bone turnover, and lead to lower bone mass. Calcium supplements come in various forms, including citrate and carbonate, which differ mainly in their calcium content and absorption rates. Calcium citrate is easily absorbed and can be taken without food, making it suitable for older adults or those with low stomach acid. In contrast, calcium carbonate, which contains a higher percentage of calcium, is best absorbed when taken with meals.

Glucosamine Sulfate
Glucosamine is a natural compound found in the body, particularly in the fluid that surrounds joints. It is often used as a dietary supplement to help with joint health, particularly for conditions such as osteoarthritis. Glucosamine is believed to work by helping to reduce inflammation, promoting the repair of damaged cartilage, and slowing down the loss of cartilage. There are several different forms of glucosamine supplements, including glucosamine sulfate, glucosamine hydrochloride, and N-acetyl-glucosamine. Glucosamine sulfate is the most commonly used form in supplements. It is important to note that glucosamine sulfate is derived from shellfish (specifically the exoskeletons of shrimp, lobster, and crabs) and can be problematic for people with shellfish allergies.

Turmeric
Description:Turmeric is a commonly used spice and a member of the ginger family (Zingiberaceae). It is native to India and other parts of South Asia and is known for its bright orange-yellow color and its warm, slightly bitter flavor. In traditional medicine, turmeric is believed to have a number of health benefits due to its high content of antioxidants and other compounds, such as curcumin. It is thought to have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, and it is often used to treat a variety of conditions, including joint pain, digestive problems, skin disorders, and respiratory infections. Most dietary supplements that utilize turmeric standardize their products based on a specific amount of curcumin (curcuminoids) per dose. Additionally, turmeric supplements are often paired with black pepper extract (piperine) to improve oral absorption.

Founder of ProCaps Labs
- ALL SULFATE
- ULTRA-MILD
- Glucosamine and Chondroitin have been the subject of thousands of published articles and extensive international recognition; however, they are not medicines to treat joint ailments, but more importantly, represent the vital molecules that comprise the structure of all our joints – healthy or not.
Glucosamine Sulfate is always the first line of joint defense, but unlike ordinary joint products, we refuse to use cheaper, unproven Glucosamine HCl (Hydrochloride).
- Sadly, typical joint products use inferior sources of both Glucosamine and Chondroitin. Ordinary Glucosamine HCl does not possess the research-established benefits of Glucosamine Sulfate while common Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate can adversely affect blood pressure and heart health by delivering unwanted Sodium. In short, Glucosamine, Chondroitin and the Sulfur from their Sulfate forms, as well as from MSM, all provide the essential structural ingredients that make up the “building blocks” or the very “bricks and mortar” of our joints. By providing these essential structural molecules in their optimum forms and at their ideal potencies, we deliver maximum benefits to joint structure, health and function. No other body part endures more daily use and abuse than our joints and Maximum Joint Effort delivers the proper tools to help combat and repair the consequences of a lifetime of wear and tear.

Formula |
- 1,500mg Glucosamine Sulfate
1,200mg Chondroitin Sulfate - M.S.M. - Curcumin
- This unique formula begins with clinically-established levels and ideal forms (All Sulfate and Sodium-Free) of the two most important and well-researched natural ingredients for joint health: Glucosamine Sulfate (1,500 mg) and Chondroitin Sulfate (1,200 mg). Given the importance of Sulfur to joint structure and function, we then add 800 mg of organic sulfur from MSM (MethylSulfonylMethane). Because Turmeric (Curcumin) has such a long list of benefits throughout the body, particularly its centuries-old soothing role for our overworked joints, we also add 100 mg of our uniquely activated, and protected, Curcumin-Phospholipid Complex.
- We only use the form of Glucosamine established in the scientific literature – Glucosamine Sulfate.
- Our special Calcium Chondroitin Sulfate eliminates the risks of Sodium and instead provides the benefits of 80 mg of essential Calcium.
