What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: biotin, also called vitamin B7. It's a B-complex vitamin your body needs to convert food into energy and support healthy hair, skin, and nails.
You're getting pure biotin in powder form with no inactive ingredients listed.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Biotin is likely effective for biotin deficiency — the condition it prevents and treats. For other uses like hair loss (alopecia areata), there isn't enough reliable evidence yet to say whether it works.
For multiple sclerosis and seborrheic dermatitis, the evidence suggests it's probably ineffective.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Biotin is generally well tolerated, even at fairly high doses, because your body clears excess through urine. In trials, high-dose biotin rarely caused mild diarrhea.
One isolated case report described an unusual inflammatory reaction in someone taking very high doses alongside other supplements, but it's unclear whether biotin was the cause and no similar cases have been reported since. Check with your doctor before taking high-dose supplements, especially if you're pregnant, nursing, or have any health conditions.
