What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: Vitamin B7, also called biotin. It's a water-soluble B vitamin your body needs to break down food for energy and keep your skin, hair, and nails healthy.
Since your body can't store excess biotin, it flushes what you don't use into your urine, which is why high doses are generally well tolerated. There are no inactive ingredients listed for this powder.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Biotin is likely effective for biotin deficiency — the condition your doctor would check for with a blood test. For other uses, the evidence is weaker: it's rated possibly ineffective for multiple sclerosis and seborrheic dermatitis (a flaky scalp condition), and there isn't enough reliable evidence to rate it for hair loss (alopecia areata).
If you're considering biotin for something other than a confirmed deficiency, talk with your pharmacist about whether the evidence supports it for your situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Biotin is generally well tolerated, even at fairly high doses, because your body gets rid of the excess through urine. The most common side effect from high-dose biotin is mild diarrhea, reported in a small number of people taking 300 mg or more daily.
One case report linked high-dose biotin to a rare inflammatory condition, but it's unclear whether biotin was the cause. Biotin is rated likely safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding, but normal dietary and supplement amounts are the way to go — check with your doctor before taking high-dose supplements.

Pure Biotin is straightforward: it's a single-ingredient supplement for biotin deficiency, very well tolerated, and no documented medication interactions. If you have a confirmed deficiency or want to support your hair and nails, it's worth a try.
If you're thinking of taking high doses, run it by your doctor first.
