What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: L-Glutathione at 250 mg per capsule. Glutathione is a compound your body makes naturally, and this supplement delivers it in a reduced form (the form your cells can use).
The capsule also contains inactive ingredients — microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable cellulose, vegetable magnesium stearate, and silica — which are standard binders and capsule materials.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for L-Glutathione is mixed. It's rated possibly effective for reducing nerve damage (neurotoxicity) caused by the chemotherapy drug cisplatin.
For other uses — nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (fatty buildup in the liver not caused by alcohol), Alzheimer disease, athletic performance, and cataracts — the evidence we hold is insufficient to say whether it works. If you're considering it for one of these purposes, talk with your doctor about what the current research actually shows for your situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Oral L-Glutathione appears generally well tolerated in the short term, but long-term safety data is limited. The safety data advises against taking it during pregnancy unless your doctor specifically recommends it, and caution or avoidance is advised while breastfeeding.
One important note: if you use a nebulizer (inhaled) form of glutathione — which this product is not — it can cause airway tightening and coughing in people with asthma. This capsule is an oral form, so that's not a concern here.

The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. No medication interactions are currently documented, and safety information is well characterized.
Reduced L-Glutathione may be worth considering if your doctor has suggested it for cisplatin-related nerve damage; the evidence is promising for that use. For other purposes, the evidence is either thin or simply not established yet.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding are times to avoid it unless your own doctor advises otherwise. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before you start to make sure it fits your situation.
