Irvingia gabonensis, commonly known as African mango or wild mango, is a tropical fruit tree native to West and Central Africa. The tree produces a distinctive fruit with a large seed, known as the African mango seed or dika nut, which has gained attention for its potential health benefits. The seeds of Irvingia gabonensis are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and are often used for their purported weight loss and metabolism-boosting properties.
