In addition to its use as a spice and herb, fenugreek has a long history of use in traditional medicine. Some studies have suggested that fenugreek may have potential health benefits, including the ability to lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes, improve cholesterol levels, and reduce inflammation. There is some evidence to suggest that chromium supplements may help to improve blood sugar control in people with type 2 diabetes, although the results of studies on this topic have been mixed. Some studies have found that chromium supplements can improve insulin sensitivity and reduce blood sugar levels in those with poorly controlled diabetes, while others have found no significant effects.

Description:Atractylodes is a genus of flowering plants native to eastern Asia, with its roots being used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), traditional Japanese medicine (Kampo), and traditional Thai medicine. It is found in formulations like ninjin-yoei-to and shenling baizhu san. Pharmacokinetic studies show that atractylodin, a major bioactive compound, is absorbed rapidly after oral administration, with peak plasma concentrations reached within 0.5-2 hours. The root contains sesquiterpenoids, sterols, and essential oils, with constituents like atractylenolides and atractylon. These compounds contribute to various purported pharmacological effects, including anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and gastrointestinal effects, but more research is needed for a better understanding of its overall effectiveness in these areas.

Description:Licorice, also known as glycyrrhiza, is a plant native to parts of Europe, Asia, and the Mediterranean region. The root of the plant has been used for centuries in traditional medicine and is often consumed in the form of candy, tea, and supplements. Licorice has a number of purported health benefits, including the ability to soothe sore throats, reduce inflammation, and improve digestive problems. It may also have antiviral and antibacterial properties. Licorice naturally contains glycyrrhizin, or glycyrrhizic acid, which can have toxic effects if consumed in large amounts. However, licorice can be processed to remove glycyrrhizin, resulting in DGL (deglycyrrhizinated licorice). Many dietary supplements that contain deglycyrrhizinated licorice are often simply named 'DGL'.

Brand IP Statement(s) |
- Research suggests that Banabatrim(TM) along with a nutritious diet and normal exercise program will support a healthy reduction of abdominal fat. The second prong of the approach is to stimulate thermogenesis with the Thermoprocel Blend. The herbs in this blend contain natural caffeine and other natural substances that have been clinically demonstrated to promote thermogenesis, the biological process of burning body fat. These same herbs also help control appetite.
- SugarBalance(TM) takes a two-pronged approach to weight loss. First, it supports balanced blood sugar levels. This is important since, as blood sugar levels are increased, the body is likely to transport it to fat cells to be converted into fat and stored. Banabatrim(TM) and Promiltrim(TM) are herbal extracts and along with Chromium carnosinate have been shown to help promote the transfer of blood sugar into muscle cells (rather than fat cells), and has been demonstrated to help promote weight loss.
