The vegetal silica in this product is possibly effective for osteoporosis, meaning there is some evidence it may help — but the picture isn't complete yet. For androgenic alopecia (male or female pattern hair loss) and dental peri-implantitis (inflammation around dental implants), the evidence isn't strong enough to rate.

The amount of silicon found in food and water is not associated with side effects, and these vegetal silica forms are generally well tolerated. However, long-term or high-dose safety hasn't been thoroughly studied, so caution is warranted with extended use.
During pregnancy, there isn't enough reliable safety data, so it's best avoided. The same applies to breastfeeding — safety hasn't been established.
If you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this supplement. One exception: high silicon levels in people on chronic dialysis have been linked to liver disease, so if that's your situation, check with your care team first.
