Clinical
Dr. Sayman Salve is a topical ointment containing petrolatum and zinc oxide. This product is an over-the-counter monograph drug, meaning it is marketed under FDA's established rules for its category rather than through individual product approval. Petrolatum and zinc oxide are commonly used together in skin protectant ointments, where they function to create a moisture barrier and provide mild protective or soothing effects on the skin.
