Answer

Thanks for reaching out to us!

There is no drug interaction between Tylenol (acetaminophen), a pain-reliever, and Claritin (loratadine), an antihistamine. They are considered safe to take together. These drugs also don't have a similar side effect profile and don't have additive side effects.

There, unfortunately, isn't a single product that contains both of these drugs. You can find products that contain both an antihistamine and a pain-reliever together (like NyQuil), but Tylenol and Claritin aren't in combination together with a single product and would to be taken separately (but again, there is no interaction between them).

About Tylenol

Tylenol (acetaminophen) is used to relieve mild to moderate pain from headaches, muscle aches, menstrual periods, colds and sore throats, toothaches, backaches, and reactions to vaccinations (shots), and to reduce fever. It may also be used to relieve the pain of osteoarthritis (arthritis caused by the breakdown of the lining of the joints).

Tylenol is in a class of medications called analgesics (pain relievers) and antipyretics (fever reducers). It works by changing the way the body senses pain and by cooling the body.

About Claritin

Claritin (loratadine) is used to temporarily relieve the symptoms of hay fever (allergy to pollen, dust, or other substances in the air) and other allergies. These symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes, nose, or throat. Loratadine is also used to treat itching and redness caused by hives. However, loratadine does not prevent hives or other allergic skin reactions. Loratadine is in a class of medications called antihistamines. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms.
