Loperamide, Simethicone falls under ORAL DRUGS — the group Agar interacts with.

Agar forms a thick gel, which may disrupt the absorption of nutrients and medications. Animal research suggests that consuming a diet consisting of 5% to 10% agar alters the absorption of nutrients from the diet. In one study, consuming a diet composed of 10% agar reduced the absorption of all evaluated minerals. Theoretically, agar may also impair the absorption of oral drugs.

Here's the simple version: agar is a seaweed fiber that soaks up water and turns into a thick gel in your gut. That gel can trap things sitting in your stomach and intestines, including a medicine like Imodium Advanced (loperamide plus simethicone). The worry is that less of your dose gets absorbed, so it may not work quite as well. With loperamide, that could mean your diarrhea isn't controlled as fully as you'd expect.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is theoretical and based mostly on animal studies using diets very high in agar, not normal food amounts. Small culinary uses are unlikely to matter much. If you take agar as a fiber supplement, just separate it from your medicine by a couple of hours, and check with your pharmacist first.
