Animal research suggests that certain constituents from Albizia julibrissin flowers can potentiate pentobarbital-induced sleeping time in mice. Theoretically, Albizia julibrissin might enhance the therapeutic and adverse effects of CNS depressants.
Some CNS depressants include pentobarbital (Nembutal), phenobarbital (Luminal), secobarbital (Seconal), clonazepam (Klonopin), lorazepam (Ativan), zolpidem (Ambien), and others.

Albizia julibrissin is a species of flowering tree in the pea family and is commonly known as the Persian silk tree or pink silk tree. It is native to parts of Asia, including Iran, China, and Korea. The tree is known for its attractive pink flowers and fern-like leaves. The flower and stem bark are used in traditional medicine to treat a variety of ailments, such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, and sore throat. It is also used to improve mood and reduce swelling
