Blackberry and Ravulizumab-Cwvz

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Ravulizumab-Cwvz and Blackberry in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Blackberry at all — not against Ravulizumab-Cwvz, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Blackberry safety at a glance

Blackberry overall Generally safe The fruit is safe as a food; medicinal leaf and root preparations are likely safe in typical amounts but less studied.
Pregnancy Use caution The berry as food is fine, but concentrated leaf or root supplements lack safety data, so use caution.
Breastfeeding Use caution Eating the fruit is fine, but there is not enough information on medicinal supplements while nursing.

Safety guidance is general; always confirm with your pharmacist or doctor for your situation.

About Blackberry

What is Blackberry?

  • Diarrhea
  • Sore throat and mouth rinse
  • General antioxidant support
  • Digestive upset
  • Source of vitamins and fiber

Blackberry is a common edible berry that is safe and nutritious as a food, rich in vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidant plant compounds. The leaves and root have a long history of traditional use for diarrhea and sore throat, but high-quality human studies on these medicinal uses are limited. Enjoy the fruit freely, but talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated leaf or root supplements.

What Is Ravulizumab-cwvz Injection Used For?

Brand name: Ultomiris

  • Ravulizumab-cwvz injection is used in adults and children 1 month of age and older to treat paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH: a type of anemia in which too many red blood cells are broken down in the body, so there are not enough healthy cells to bring oxygen to all parts of the body). Ravulizumab-cwvz injection is also used in adults and children 1 month of age and older to treat atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS; an inherited condition in which small blood clots form in the body and may cause damage to the blood vessels, blood cells, kidneys, and other parts of the body). Ravulizumab-cwvz injection is also used in adults to treat a certain form of myasthenia gravis (MG; a disorder of the nervous system that causes muscle weakness). Ravulizumab-cwvz is in a class of medications called monoclonal antibodies. It works by blocking the activity of the part of the immune system that may damage blood cells in people with PNH and that causes clots to form in people with aHUS. It works by disrupting communication between nerves and muscles in people with MG.
