Mestranol, Norethynodrel falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Honey interacts with.

Theoretically, honey might decrease levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4, but research is conflicting.
Some clinical research shows that honey induces CYP3A4. However, other clinical studies found no effect on CYP3A4 activity. Different honey preparations may have different effects on CYP3A4.

Enovid-E is an older birth control pill that combines an estrogen (mestranol) and a progestin (norethynodrel). Both hormones are cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. The thinking here is that honey might nudge that enzyme to work a little faster, which could lower your hormone levels and, in theory, make the pill slightly less reliable. With a contraceptive, the main worry would be reduced protection against pregnancy or some breakthrough spotting.

Honestly, the evidence is shaky and conflicting. Some studies saw a small effect, others saw none, and normal amounts of honey in tea or on toast are very unlikely to matter. If you eat honey often or use concentrated supplements, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can reassure you.
